Sweet Proposal at Harkness Park

Oh proposals! They are one of the funnest and most adrenaline inducing types of photos to take. I can only imagine that is also what it is like when you get down on one knee and ask the love of you life to marry you.

Harkness Memorial State Park is one of the iconic scenic spots here in Connecticut, and rightfully so. It’s expansive grounds are well groomed with gardens, lovely trees, mansion architecture and beauty sandy coast line.

Even when there’s a hundred people around you can still feel like the place is all yours. And that’s how this proposal happened, right there in the beauty of scenery.

We often do a short photo session after you’ve gotten your answer and you’re ready for us to make ourselves known. But it’s usually not long, because we know you want to go and celebrate and let others know. But these photos, in the moment and right after are precious. They are the moments where it’s just the two of you (and us) who know that you have just declared love to epic proportions! And we are so grateful to have been able to capture it.
