“You should be able to watch in awe as it all comes together.”

Whether to hire a wedding planner is a topic that goes around and around. As wedding photographers, we play a part in nearly every aspect of your wedding day and we can tell you first hand why hiring a planner is a great idea. As a vendor who is with you more than others throughout you day we should be there as the quiet observers who document your day.

We are not wedding planners but often find ourselves needing to fill roles and gaps because a planner was not acquired. Instead of documenting the bride standing with her father in quiet or angsty emotion before she walks down the aisle, we are making sure the wedding party is going down the aisle when they are supposed to and fixing flowers and other minute details.

With our experience of well over 350 weddings we have seen a lot of things. In our opinion a wedding SHOULD be a wonderful day and experience for you to appreciate and cherish. Not something that makes you want to pull your hair out. We cannot tell you how many times we see the couple trying to direct people to their seats or tell them where the gifts go. It’s incredibly hard for the couple to manage and leads to unnecessary stress. Questions will be a plenty through out your planning process but a planner can be the answer extraordinaire for you on your wedding day. They can, quite simply, take on all the tasks so that you just need to be present and immersed in the moments.

One of the most useful things to note is their ability in Time Management. All the things and people they keep track of on your wedding day is incredibly important to the day’s success. From a photographer’s point of view it’s beneficial to focus on our jobs of capturing your story while our friend, Your Wedding Planner, keeps everyone and everything running smoothly. This conversation goes far deeper when you talk about the entire planning experience.

Imagine having a trusted, educated and informational source from the very beginning. One who has planned and lived many weddings before yours.

Budget Management: Wedding planners can help you create and stick to a realistic budget by offering cost-saving tips, keep track of expenses to prevent overspending or help you understand what certain things will cost so you can choose where you want to spend your money.

Vendor Selection and Coordination: They will bring you vendors who fit into your vision and who will listen to your needs, they will communicate with these vendors and organize contracts and payments to them. They will ensure everyone is on the same page leading up to and on the wedding day. We do still recommend that you get to have a conversation with your vendors, even just a short hello, get to know you phone call, coffee or in our case engagement session. Being able to make a personal connection and express in your own words what you want from your wedding day and from your vendors will go a long way.

“We want to photograph the expressions and feelings when it all happens so wonderfully.”

Creative Input and Design Assistance: Professional wedding planners can help bring your vision to life by offering creative ideas, themes, and design concepts. They'll work closely with you to personalize your wedding and make it truly unique.

Contingency Planning: Professional wedding planners are skilled at anticipating potential issues that may arise before or during the wedding day. Not that we want any issues to even be anywhere near or close to your wedding day. However, things and life do happen. Wedding planner have backup plans and we love them for this because we know their ultimate goal is to provide you and your guests with an unforgettable and seamless experience.

Weekend/On-the-Day Coordination: Oh yes! Here is where all the work of a wedding planner pays off. On the wedding day itself, a wedding planner ensures everything runs smoothly and according to plan. We cannot stress this aspect of a wedding planner enough. Everything y’all have planned comes into motion the weekend of your wedding.

It’s more than just overseeing the day. They are the point person for all the vendors. They are the ones who make sure your guests are where they should be when they should be, they are there to make sure you eat and drink, they are there to make sure food is served warm and so many more things I could tire my little fingers out by listing them.

They handle your day so you can relax and enjoy it!

Hiring a professional wedding planner can save you time, money and stress. They can help bring your dreams to life! While all your wedding vendors want to make sure you have the most incredible wedding it does take someone to bring them all together. When your wedding day comes you should find yourself being asked very few questions. You should be able to watch in awe as it all comes together and have it captured and enjoyed in a beautiful and authentic manner.

Planners we love and know do their part to know you and all the things you0 desire for your wedding day!
