Lovely Eolia Mansion Wedding
Eolia Mansion is a hot spot among Connecticut photographers, and if you’ve been there before I’m sure it’s easy to understand why.
The first time we came here I was blown away, to have such a grandiose piece of the world tucked away in New England made me feel spoiled. I love being in nature, and to have the ocean and trees and a lawn to run wild on made me want to lay on the ground and breathe it all in. And you know, that’s exactly what I did!
Catherine and Jeff were married here on a beautiful summer day when the world around us felt unsure. We were nearing the end of the pandemic and being with this couple and their families helped all that melt away.
We didn’t make it down to the ocean that day, but we felt the rain as it graced us with her beauty later in the evening. We have couples who work so hard to plan their wedding day, in these magnificent settings, only to find that mother nature does no such planning. She’s wild and fierce and incredibly spunky.
We embrace Mother Nature as best we can, we aren’t afraid to stand out in the rain as you are tucked away under a pergola, making romantic eyes at each other. We love when the wind brings the veil to life, and when the sun touches our skin to warm us deep within.
I consider a great compliment that when it looks like it’s going to rain on our couples wedding day they reach out and say, “we aren’t worried because we’ve seen your photos with the rain.” We’ve even heard, “I really hope it rains on our wedding day cause your photos are epic!”
And you know what, that’s how we feel about you, you are epic, you are glorious and we can’t wait to see what you bring in front of the camera with your own love story.
