Getting to know our couples is one of our favorite parts of being a wedding photographer. While we know everyone wants to capture the love and joy of their wedding day, some couples want a little more or less fuss than others. And what I mean by that is time in front of the camera and types of posing and how we spend our time with them.

It’s common for us to guide you through your portraits, because no one wants to feel like they don’t know what they are supposed to be doing. Allie and Mike were a couple who said, “less is more”. They didn’t want all the bells and whistles of getting ready photos, or a grand exit. They just wanted to capture them together and focus on the celebration. They wanted to be with each other in ways that felt normal and not forced.

So we did lots of walking together types of photos, were they could enjoy the scenery on the grounds of Tappan Hill Mansion and enjoy the simpleness and intimacy of holding hands. Their laughter brought to life the world around us and we enjoyed creating a gallery of images that spoke to them and made our art stand apart.

It truly is a collaboration between us and you and we are here to make it fun, meaningful and one to remember.
