Classic Summer wedding in New england

Summer days are some of our favorites, as they are too many. You know the ones where the leaves are that dark green and the breeze still feels warm against your skin, where you never need a sweater in the car but you aren’t so hot that you want to quickly go home and take a shower. Those summer days!

This wedding happened on one of those summer days and we enjoyed every second of it. We’d never been to The Connors Center before and being a part of Boston College I was worried it would be crowded. But it was quite the opposite. The grounds of The Connors Center are secluded, peaceful, and full of nature and elegancy. I could have pulled out a picnic blanket and stayed all weekend.

Inside the dwelling is equally exquisite. I won’t try to describe the type of architecture because I don’t know the correct terminology for moody, wood driven rooms that felt of olden times but also a ballroom with a window from floor to ceiling where we brought the bride to have a moment with her parents before we left for the ceremony. You might just have to go see for yourself how unique and interesting this place really is.

Liz from Elegant Aura worked her magic behind the scenes and perfectly so that you almost didn’t know if anything was a foot. She made our job easier and kept us informed of any hiccups. As photographers we appreciate this, it allows us to use our time wisely, efficiently and creatively. We don’t want to hold anything up and we certainly don’t want to miss anything.

I’d go back here again, even if just for a stroll through the grounds where the kids run wild and gawk at all the beautiful scenery while Noah and I reminisce on the times we had with Kelly & Sean, a truly wonderful couple who made us feel welcome and who embraced our wild artsy hearts with pleasure.
